1. Who we are
ShiKa Exam Prep (the "Service") is operated by Kalesh Kumar KC, trading as Prudent Institute. Kalesh Kumar KC is the data controller for personal data collected through the Service.

2. Personal data we collect
- Account data — name, email address and password credentials.
- Profile and enrollment data — the courses you have requested or purchased, approval status, and access expiry.
- Learning data — practice and mock-exam attempts, questions answered, results, and timing.
- Support and contact messages — messages you send us through the contact form or by email/WhatsApp.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, and log data used to keep the Service secure and reliable.
- Payment-related data — order references and status. Full card details are handled by Paddle (see section 4) and never reach our servers.
3. How and why we use your data
- To create and administer your account and grant course access — legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To provide, personalise and improve the learning experience — legitimate interests.
- To provide customer support — legitimate interests / performance of a contract.
- To protect the Service from fraud, abuse and security incidents — legitimate interests.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
- To send transactional emails (approval, purchase receipts, password resets) — performance of a contract.
4. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the categories of recipients listed below:
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record for the sale of courses. Paddle processes payments, handles invoicing, tax where applicable, refunds and billing-related customer support. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Service providers / subprocessors — cloud hosting and database infrastructure (Lovable Cloud, backed by Supabase), email delivery, and analytics tools used to operate the Service.
- Professional advisers — accountants and legal advisers where necessary to run the business.
- Authorities — where disclosure is required by law, court order or other legal process.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers (including Paddle and our hosting infrastructure) may process personal data outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Data retention
We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep certain records (for example, tax invoices) for a longer period under applicable law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and — where processing is based on consent — the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, role-based permissions, and row-level security in our database. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure; if you suspect a security issue, please email info@prudentts.com.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and secure the Service. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies we will update this notice and, where required by law, ask for your consent.

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
